In June 2023, the automobile sector experienced remarkable growth in sales, with several models vying for a spot on the top-ten podium. Notably, Maruti Suzuki dominated the market, with six out of the ten best-selling cars being from their lineup.
Maruti Suzuki Wagon R sales in June 2023
Leading the charts was the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R, with an impressive 17,481 units sold. Although it secured the top spot, its year-on-year sales saw a slight decline of 8.91%, compared to the same month the previous year, during which it sold 19,190 units.

SUVs sales in June 2023
The Hyundai Creta, a popular SUV, managed to secure the third spot closely behind the Maruti Suzuki models, with an impressive sale of 14,447 units.
SUVs performed exceptionally well in June 2023, occupying six out of the top-ten spots. The Tata Nexon and Hyundai Venue secured the fifth and sixth positions, selling 13,827 units and 11,606 units, respectively. The Tata Punch performed admirably as well, claiming the eighth position on the chart with 10,990 units sold.
The last two spots were taken by Maruti Suzuki models once again, with the Grand Vitara and Brezza selling 10,486 units and 10,578 units, respectively.
Overall, the automobile sector witnessed a highly competitive market in June 2023, with Maruti Suzuki showcasing its dominance and SUVs gaining significant traction among Indian consumers.
