The democratization of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) in the Indian market has been rapid, with numerous manufacturers integrating this technology into their mass-market offerings. Indian consumers are increasingly prioritizing safety, aiding in the proliferation of ADAS. Currently, two levels of ADAS are available in mass-market segments: Level 1, which includes features like forward collision assist, lane keep assist, and high beam assist; and Level 2, which adds adaptive cruise control, rear cross traffic avoidance assist, and blind spot collision avoidance assist. Here are the ten most affordable models in India equipped with ADAS technology:

10. Mahindra XUV700

Price: Rs 19.49 lakh – 24.99 lakh

Mahindra’s flagship SUV offers ADAS in the top two variants – AX7 and AX7 Luxury Pack. These variants are available with both the 200hp, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and the 185hp, 2.2-litre diesel unit, with the former offering an optional AWD. They come in six- and seven-seat configurations.

9. Kia Seltos

Price: Rs 19 lakh – 20.37 lakh

The Kia Seltos midsize SUV features ADAS in five variants – GTX, GTX+(S), GTX+, X-Line(S), and the top-spec X-Line. These higher-spec variants come exclusively with automatic gearboxes; the 160hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine has a 7-speed dual-clutch unit, while the 116hp, 1.5-litre diesel comes with a 6-speed torque converter automatic.

8. MG Astor

Price: Rs 16.94 lakh – 18.28 lakh

The MG Astor was the first midsize SUV in India to offer an ADAS suite. MG Motor includes the tech in the top-spec Savvy Pro trim, available with either a 110hp, 1.5-litre petrol engine paired with a CVT gearbox or a 140hp, 1.3-litre turbo-petrol paired with a 6-speed automatic.

7. Hyundai Verna

Price: Rs 16.23 lakh – 17.42 lakh

The Hyundai Verna’s ADAS features are available in the top-spec SX(O) trim with select powertrain options. The 115hp, 1.5-litre petrol engine in manual form lacks ADAS but includes it when paired with the CVT. The SX(O) Turbo variant, with a 160hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, offers ADAS with both the 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch gearboxes.

6. Hyundai Creta

Price: Rs 15.98 lakh – 20.45 lakh

With its recent facelift, the Hyundai Creta now offers ADAS in the higher-spec SX Tech and top-spec SX(O) variants. The SX Tech comes with 115hp, 1.5-litre petrol and 116hp, 1.5-litre diesel engines, while the SX(O) also includes the 160hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine. The Creta N Line variant also features ADAS, exclusively in its top-spec N8 form.

5. Honda Elevate

Price: Rs 15.21 lakh – 16.43 lakh*

Honda’s midsize SUV includes ADAS features in the top-spec ZX trim. All variants are powered by a 121hp, 1.5-litre petrol engine, available with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT gearbox.

4. Kia Sonet

Price: Rs 14.81 lakh – 15.77 lakh

The Kia Sonet offers camera-based Level 1 ADAS features in the GTX+ and X-Line variants. These variants come with 120hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and 116hp, 1.5-litre diesel engines, available only with their respective automatic gearboxes.

1. Mahindra XUV300

Price: Rs 11.99 lakh – 15.49 lakh

The Mahindra XUV300, launched on April 29, is the most affordable model with ADAS technology. The higher-spec AX5 Luxury and top-spec AX7 trims include Level 2 ADAS. The AX5 Luxury variant, starting at Rs 11.99 lakh, features a 131hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine available in manual and automatic forms. The AX7 Luxury variant includes both the 131hp turbo-petrol and a 117hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine.
