Tata Open Maharashtra Press Release Tata Motors Continues To Support Indian Tennis As Title Sponsor For 5th Year

Tata Motors, one of the biggest car companies in the world, has shown its continued support for tennis in India by becoming the title sponsor of the Tata Open Maharashtra for the fifth year in a row. The only ATP 250 in South Asia will start on December 31 in Pune. The company announced today that the all-new Tata Safari, its most famous and most expensive SUV, will be the Official Partner for Tata Open Maharashtra.

Some of the best tennis players in the world, like Rafael Nadal, Stan Wawrinka, and Carlos Moya, have come to India to play in this tournament. This year, 2014 US Open champion Marin Cilic will lead a field of 17 top-100 players.

Based on the core ideas of “Sportification of India,” Tata Motors’ partnership with one of India’s oldest sporting events will continue to play a key role in promoting the sport.

“We’re happy to keep working with Tata Motors, one of India’s most trusted brands, for the fifth year in a row. This strengthens our credibility, trust, and partnership with them as we celebrate the fifth year of the tournament in Pune, which is a big deal. Sanjay Khandare, who is also an IAS officer and the Treasurer of the Tata Open Maharashtra, said, “We are grateful that they continue to believe in us and help us with this tournament, which will again feature some of the biggest stars from around the world.”

Tata Motors has been involved with many Indian sports events for a long time. It has been at the forefront of India’s mobility revolution for more than 75 years and continues to offer a wide range of smart, sustainable, and integrated mobility solutions, including cars, SUVs, trucks, buses, and defence vehicles.

Rajan Amba, VP of Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service at Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd., said about this partnership, “We are happy to announce that we will continue to work with the Tata Open Maharashtra. For this event, we chose to show off Safari, our top-of-the-line SUV. The Safari brand has always promoted the idea of “Reclaim Your Life,” and what better way to do that than through sports? The Safari’s power and performance are like those of a well-trained tennis player, and it fits well with this wonderful long-standing association.

In its new form, the Safari continues the long history of the brand by combining the Impact 2.0 design language with the proven capability of OMEGARC, an architecture based on Land Rover’s famous D8 platform. It has changed to meet the needs of the new generation of SUV buyers, who want an eye-catching design, unmatched versatility, plush and comfortable interiors, and great performance for their modern, multifaceted lives.

Tata Open Maharashtra is owned by IMG and managed by RISE Worldwide. The Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA) and the Government of Maharashtra will put on the tournament at the Balewadi Stadium.

The partnership began when the prestigious tournament moved from Chennai to Pune in 2018. Since then, it has grown a lot.

Tata Open Maharashtra has moved back to the first week of the calendar. The qualifiers will start on December 31, and the main draw will run from January 2-7.
