Tata Motors said on Friday that it has sold 10,000 Tiago.evs in less than four months. This makes it the EV that has reached this milestone the quickest.
This news comes not long after the Tiago.ev became the “Fastest Booked EV in India” by getting 10,000 reservations in just 24 hours.
The Tiago.ev made it to 491 towns, traveling a total of 11.2 million km and keeping 1.6 million grams of CO2 from being released into the air. Tiago.ev users have gone on longer trips between cities in their cars, which shows how confident and reliable they feel in them.
More than 1200 Tiago.evs have been driven more than 3000 km, and more than 600 have been driven more than 4000 km on Indian roads.
Vivek Srivatsa, Head of Marketing, Sales, and Service Strategy at Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., said about this path, “The Tiago.ev was released with the goal of making the EV experience more accessible to everyone. It has a digital drive, a customizable driving experience with multi-mode regen, and two drive modes: City and Sport. The Tiago.ev comes standard with high-end features like fully automatic climate control, projector headlights, cruise control, electric ORVMs that fold automatically, Auto headlights, and Rain Sensing Wipers, among others.
The Tiago.ev is the first car in its class to come with basic telematics on all trims. The ZConnect app has 45 connected car features, such as Remote AC ON/OFF with temperature setting, Remote geo fencing and car location tracking, Smart watch connectivity, Remote vehicle health diagnostics, Real-time charge status, Dynamic charger locator, Driving Style analytics, and more. Customers will also be able to use an 8-speaker Harman Infotainment System that works with Android Auto and Apple Car Play.
The Tiago.ev comes with different combinations of water- and dust-resistant IP67-rated battery packs and charging options, such as a 24kWh battery pack with a Modified Indian Driving Cycle (MIDC) range of 315km for longer daily driving needs and a 19.2kWh battery pack with a MIDC range of 257km for short, frequent trips. The liquid-cooled battery and motor also come with the best protection in their class: 8 years or 160,000 km, whichever comes first.
