Although the interior of the Exter has not been revealed yet, it is expected to be equipped with a large touchscreen infotainment system, wireless phone charging, a digitized driver’s display, and cruise control. The Exter’s cabin is likely to feature a spacious and comfortable interior, as is the case with most Hyundai models. It is also expected to have safety features like up to six airbags, ESC, TPMS, ABS with EBD, and a reversing camera.
Engine and Power
The India-spec Exter is likely to be powered by the Grand i10 Nios’s petrol engine, a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated unit generating 83PS/114Nm. It may come with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT option. However, there are rumors that the Exter could also come with a turbo-petrol engine.
Expected Launch and Price
Hyundai plans to launch the Exter in India by June 2023, with an estimated starting price of Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom). The Exter is expected to be a popular choice among Indian buyers due to its compact size, fuel efficiency, and affordability. Hyundai aims to attract young urban buyers who are looking for a stylish and practical vehicle that can handle the demands of city driving.
The Hyundai Exter will compete with other micro SUVs in the Indian market, including Tata Punch, Maruti Fronx, Citroen C3, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite. These models have gained popularity in recent years due to their affordability, fuel efficiency, and practicality. However, the Exter is expected to stand out from the competition due to its advanced features and stylish design.
The Hyundai Exter is an exciting addition to the indian micro SUV market. With its stylish design, advanced features, and affordable price point, the Exter is expected to be a popular choice among young urban buyers. Hyundai’s reputation for reliability and durability is also likely to appeal to Indian buyers who are looking for a dependable vehicle that can handle the demands of city driving. Overall, the Exter is a promising model that has the potential to set new standards in the Indian micro SUV market.
