MG Comet Ev Price List Announced: Here’s What You Need to Know

MG, a British automotive company, has finally launched its much-awaited electric vehicle (EV), the Comet EV, in India. The company had already revealed that the starting price of the vehicle is Rs 7.98 lakh (ex-showroom). The car is available in three variants – Pace, Play, and Plush – with prices going all the way up to Rs 9.98 lakh (ex-showroom). However, this pricing is valid only for the first 5,000 bookings.

The MG Comet EV can be purchased from May 15, 12 noon onwards, via both offline and online channels. Moreover, MG has promised that deliveries of the vehicle will start from May 22 in a phased manner. The pre-registrations have already begun, and interested customers can book their vehicle online or at any of the company’s dealerships.

The Comet EV features a 17.3 kWh lithium-ion battery with Prismatic cells that provides a range of 230 km. However, it is essential to note that the actual real-world range may be much lesser, similar to other EVs in similar price segments.

The MG Comet EV has 17 hot stamping panels for structural reinforcement, making it sturdy and capable of withstanding harsh weather conditions.   • iSmart with 55+ connected car features and 100+ voice commands: The MG Comet EV comes with iSmart, an AI-based infotainment system that offers 55+ connected car features and 100+ voice commands.
  • Floating twin display with a 10.25” head unit and a 10.25” digital cluster: The vehicle’s infotainment system features a floating twin display with a 10.25-inch head unit and a 10.25-inch digital cluster.
  • Smart start system: The MG Comet EV comes with a smart start system that allows users to start the vehicle remotely using their smartphones.
  • Digital Bluetooth key with sharing function for up to two people: The vehicle comes with a digital Bluetooth key that can be shared with up to two people, allowing them to access and drive the car.
  • One-touch slide & recline passenger seat: The passenger seat in the vehicle comes with a one-touch slide and recline feature, making it easy for passengers to adjust their seating position.


The MG Comet EV is an excellent option for EV buyers in India. With a range of 230 km and several attractive features, the vehicle offers good value for money.
