Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Sales Report – April 2024

In a promising start to the new financial year, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has reported robust sales figures for April 2024, showcasing a remarkable 45% Year-over-Year (YoY) growth. The company dispatched a total of 541,946 units during the month, marking a significant surge in both domestic and international markets.

Sales Breakdown:

  • Domestic Sales: 481,046 units
  • Exports: 60,900 units

Year-over-Year Growth:

  • Domestic Sales: 42%
  • Exports: 67%

Key Highlights:

1. Corporate Milestone: HMSI achieved a significant milestone with the inauguration of a state-of-the-art engine assembly line at its Global Resource Factory in Manesar, Gurugram (Haryana). This new facility emphasizes CKD (Completely Knocked Down) exports, reinforcing the company’s commitment to quality and innovation.

2. Business Achievement: In the vibrant eastern region of India, HMSI celebrated a remarkable achievement by selling 8 million units. This milestone highlights the company’s strong presence and growth trajectory in states like Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, and North-East India.

3. Network Expansion: To further enhance customer experience, HMSI inaugurated BigWing dealerships in strategic locations such as Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh), Thane (Maharashtra), and New Delhi. Additionally, a Red Wing dealership was opened in Deoria (Uttar Pradesh), expanding the company’s footprint across key markets.

4. Road Safety Initiatives: Continuing its commitment to promoting road safety, HMSI conducted awareness campaigns in 10 cities nationwide. These initiatives aimed to educate and empower citizens on safe riding practices. Furthermore, the company celebrated the 9th anniversary of its Traffic Training Park in Hyderabad (Telangana) and rewarded the winner of the Honda Manesar Half Marathon 2024 with a Shine 100 bike.

5. Motorsports Success: In motorsports, IDEMITSU Honda Racing India team showcased remarkable performance as rider Kavin Quintal secured the 11th position in Race 1 of the Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) Round 2, contributing 5 valuable points to the team. Despite adverse weather conditions leading to the cancellation of Race 2, the team’s spirit remained undeterred.
