Hero MotoCorp’s Vida Drops Prices and Expands Presence in Electric Scooter Market

Hero MotoCorp’s Vida electric scooter has dropped its prices by Rs 25,000, making its entry-level V1 Plus variant cost Rs 1.03 lakh and the V1 Pro Rs 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi, including FAME-II subsidy). The homegrown EV maker has also disclosed its objectives to expand its presence to 100 cities this year, starting with eight new cities.

The Vida V1 Plus is equipped with a 3.44kWh swappable battery pack, offering a claimed riding range of approximately 143km on a single charge. Meanwhile, the V1 Pro boasts a larger 3.94kWh battery pack with a 165km range. However, their real-world range is around 85km and 95km, respectively. Irrespective of the variant, the Vida V1 has a top speed of 80kmph and can be charged from 0 to 80% in around 65 minutes.
