Land Rover has introduced the exclusive Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition in India, priced at ₹4.98 crore (ex-showroom). This limited edition is designed specifically for India and is based on the long-wheelbase Range Rover. Crafted by the brand’s bespoke Special Vehicle Operations (SV) division, only 12 units of this meticulously designed SUV will be available.
Each of the 12 models comes with unique door sill plates, identifying the specific unit (e.g., “1 of 12”). The Ranthambore Edition features a striking exterior, finished in a bespoke black with a subtle reddish tint. Accents in Corinthian Bronze and Anthracite, inspired by the stripes of a tiger, adorn the grille, tailgate, and the 23-inch dark alloy wheels, adding to the vehicle’s distinctive look.
Exclusive Interiors Inspired by Nature
Inside, the luxurious four-seat cabin is appointed with Caraway and Perlino semi-aniline leather, enhanced by contrast stitching. The tiger-inspired theme continues with intricate embroidery on the seats, mirroring a tiger’s spine. Custom scatter cushions, chrome detailing, light wenge wood veneers, and white ceramic dials further distinguish the Ranthambore Edition from the standard Range Rover SV.
Rear passengers are treated to the full luxury experience, with fully reclining seats, a powered table, deployable cupholders, and a refrigerated compartment, complete with bespoke SV-etched glassware.
Performance and Power
Under the hood, the limited edition Ranthambore is equipped with a 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, producing 400hp and 550Nm of torque. This is the same engine found in the Range Rover Autobiography, which is priced at ₹2.6 crore (ex-showroom).
A Commitment to Conservation
As part of this launch, Range Rover has committed to donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of each Ranthambore Edition to the Wildlife Conservation Trust of India, reinforcing the brand’s dedication to environmental preservation.
