For reference, the direct competitor of the Nexon EV, the Mahindra XUV400 EV, is priced between Rs 15.49 lakh-16.74 lakh for its Short Range variant, while the Long Range variant is priced at Rs 17.49 lakh. Nexon EV Range and Specifications
The Nexon EV facelift is available in two variants – MR with a 30.2kWh battery and LR with a 40.5kWh battery. The MR variant boasts an ARAI-claimed range of 325km, while the LR variant extends this to 465km. Both variants come equipped with a 7.2kW AC charger as standard, capable of charging from 10 to 100 percent in 4.3 hours for MR and 6 hours for LR. In terms of performance, the MR produces 129hp and 215Nm of torque, while the LR generates 145hp and 215Nm.
In comparison, the Mahindra XUV400 features a 34.5kWh or 39.4kWh battery, offering a claimed range of 375km and 456km respectively on the MIDC cycle. Both variants of the XUV400 are powered by a front axle-mounted electric motor, delivering 150hp and 310Nm of torque.
