2026 Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX Launched in India at Rs 14.42 Lakh: What’s New and What Stays the Same

Kawasaki India has begun rolling out its 2026 model year updates, and the latest motorcycle to receive the MY26 tag is the Ninja 1100SX. Priced at Rs 14.42 lakh (ex-showroom, India), the sport-tourer remains mechanically identical to the outgoing model, with the update limited to regulatory compliance and a fresh colour option.

2026 Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX: Key Highlights

  • Price: Rs 14.42 lakh (ex-showroom)

  • Engine: 1,099cc inline-four, now E20-compliant

  • Output: 136hp and 113Nm (unchanged)

  • New colour: Black and Gold

  • Deliveries: Begin from December 29, 2025

What’s New for 2026?

The only visible update for the 2026 Ninja 1100SX is a new black-and-gold paint scheme, which replaces the traditional Kawasaki green accents seen on previous models. Apart from this cosmetic refresh, the motorcycle remains unchanged.

More importantly, the engine has been updated to meet E20 fuel compatibility norms, aligning it with the latest Indian government regulations without impacting performance figures.

Engine and Performance

Powering the Ninja 1100SX is the familiar 1,099cc, liquid-cooled, inline four-cylinder engine, producing 136hp and 113Nm of torque. Unlike high-strung supersport motors, this engine is tuned to deliver strong midrange performance, making it better suited for long-distance touring and everyday usability.

The engine is housed in an aluminium frame, paired with fully adjustable Showa suspension at both ends. Braking duties are handled by Tokico-sourced discs, supported by dual-channel ABS.

Electronics and Rider Aids

The 2026 Ninja 1100SX continues with a comprehensive electronics package:

  • Four riding modes: Rain, Road, Sport and Rider

  • Traction control, power delivery and throttle response linked to ride modes

  • Rider mode is fully customisable

  • 6-axis IMU for precise electronic intervention

  • Bidirectional quickshifter

  • 4.3-inch TFT display, with a unique layout in Rider mode

There are no changes to the TFT interface or features compared to the 2025 model.

Comfort and Touring Credentials

As established in earlier road tests, the Ninja 1100SX stands out as a comfortable and practical litre-class motorcycle for Indian road conditions. With its relaxed ergonomics, strong midrange torque and refined electronics, it occupies a niche that few motorcycles in this price range can match.

2026 Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX Price and Rivals

At Rs 14.42 lakh (ex-showroom), the Ninja 1100SX continues to offer a compelling mix of performance, comfort and technology. There are very few alternatives that deliver this blend of sportiness and touring ability at this price point in India.

Verdict

The 2026 Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX is a classic case of “don’t fix what isn’t broken.” With E20 compliance and a new colour being the only updates, it remains a highly capable sport-tourer that prioritises real-world usability over outright aggression—making it one of the most well-rounded litre-class motorcycles on sale in India today.
