Upcoming Skoda Cars in India in 2026: Kushaq & Slavia Facelifts, Elroq EV on the Radar

Skoda India has had a strong 2025 with the introduction of the new-generation Kodiaq and the enthusiast-focused Octavia RS. In 2026, however, the Czech carmaker’s focus will shift towards strengthening its core, high-volume portfolio. Leading this charge will be significantly updated versions of the Kushaq SUV and Slavia sedan, both of which are due for comprehensive mid-cycle refreshes. There’s also a possibility of Skoda expanding its electric footprint with the Elroq EV later in the year.

Here’s a closer look at all the Skoda launches expected in India in 2026.

Skoda Kushaq Facelift

Expected launch: Q1 2026
Estimated price: Rs 11 lakh – Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom)

The Skoda Kushaq facelift is expected to arrive early in 2026 and will bring the most extensive update the compact SUV has seen since its debut in 2021.

Design & Interior Updates

Spy images point to subtle but noticeable cosmetic changes, including revised bumpers, updated lighting elements and the possible addition of connected LED light signatures at the front and rear. Inside, Skoda is likely to refresh cabin materials, colour themes and trim finishes to improve perceived quality.

Features & Technology

The updated Kushaq is expected to take a big leap in equipment. Key additions could include:

  • Level 2 ADAS (a first for the model)

  • 360-degree camera system

  • Rear-seat massage function (segment-first)

  • Updated digital instrument cluster and infotainment UI

  • Improved air-conditioning performance

  • Panoramic sunroof (finally expected to be offered)

Safety & Powertrains

Safety is set to be a major highlight, with all-wheel disc brakes likely on the 1.5 TSI variants. Engine options should remain unchanged:

  • 1.0-litre TSI petrol (115hp)

  • 1.5-litre TSI petrol (150hp)

However, Skoda may replace the current 6-speed torque-converter automatic with a more modern 8-speed automatic gearbox on select variants.

Skoda Slavia Facelift

Expected launch: Q4 2026
Estimated price: Rs 10 lakh – Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom)

The Slavia facelift is expected towards the end of 2026, arriving at a crucial time as rivals like the Honda City and Hyundai Verna also prepare updates.

Exterior & Interior Changes

Major sheet-metal revisions are unlikely, but expect refreshed headlamps, tail-lamps, bumpers and new alloy wheel designs. Inside, the sedan is likely to receive upgraded displays, revised cabin trims and feature enhancements similar to those seen on the Kushaq facelift.

Feature Additions

One of the most anticipated upgrades is the introduction of ADAS, which would help the Slavia match its segment rivals. Other expected improvements include:

  • Enhanced infotainment and digital cluster graphics

  • Expanded safety tech

  • Improved cabin materials

Engine & Gearbox

The familiar turbo-petrol engines should continue unchanged, while the 1.0-litre variant may see its 6-speed automatic replaced by an 8-speed automatic unit.

Skoda Elroq Electric SUV

Expected launch: H2 2026 (not officially confirmed)
Estimated price: Around Rs 45 lakh (ex-showroom)

Skoda could also bring the Elroq electric SUV to India in the second half of 2026 as a premium EV offering. If launched, it will rival models like the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and BMW iX1 LWB.

Powertrain & Range

Internationally, the Elroq is offered with multiple battery and motor configurations:

  • 52kWh, 59kWh and 77kWh battery packs

  • Rear-wheel-drive layouts, plus a dual-motor RS variant

  • Claimed range of up to 560km (WLTP) on the larger battery

  • 0–100kph in as little as 6.6 seconds (higher variants)

Design & Features

Based on Skoda’s new “Modern Solid” design philosophy, the Elroq measures around 4.4 metres in length and offers a spacious cabin thanks to its long wheelbase. Expected highlights include:

  • 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system

  • Advanced ADAS features

  • Multiple storage solutions and a premium interior layout

Skoda India Outlook for 2026
