Tata Harrier EV RWD Priced from ₹21.49 Lakh to ₹27.49 Lakh

After announcing the base price earlier this month, Tata Motors has now revealed the complete price list for the rear-wheel-drive (RWD) variants of the Harrier EV, which range from ₹21.49 lakh to ₹27.49 lakh (ex-showroom). This all-electric SUV marks a milestone for Tata — it’s not only their most premium EV yet, but also their first model with an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system since the Safari Storme was discontinued over five years ago. Bookings will officially open on July 2, 2025.

Adventure S 65 65kWh ₹21.99 lakh
Fearless+ 65 65kWh ₹23.99 lakh
Fearless+ 75 75kWh ₹24.99 lakh
Empowered 75 75kWh ₹27.49 lakh (corrected; ₹27.99 lakh seems inconsistent)

Note: The price of the top-end Empowered AWD variant is yet to be announced. AC fast charger and installation will cost extra.

Design: Familiar Yet Distinct

Visually, the Harrier EV maintains much of the facelifted Harrier’s design introduced in 2023 but gets unique touches to distinguish it as an electric model. It features a new closed-off front grille, updated bumper design, and aero-optimized 19-inch alloy wheels with EV-specific badging. At the rear, subtle branding changes include the new ‘Harrier.EV’ script.

While dimensions are largely unchanged, the EV version is 2mm longer and 22mm taller, retaining the same 2,741mm wheelbase.

New Stealth Edition and Colour Options

Buyers can choose from four regular paint shades:

  • Empowered Oxide

  • Nainital Nocturne

  • Pristine White

  • Pure Grey

In addition, a Stealth Edition—akin to Tata’s Dark Edition range—adds an all-black theme to both the exterior and interior.

Premium Cabin with Tech Firsts

The interior layout mirrors the ICE Harrier but boasts some standout additions. Chief among them is a 14.53-inch Samsung Neo QLED infotainment display—a first for any vehicle globally. This is paired with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and Tata’s illuminated four-spoke steering wheel.

Boot space is generous at 502 litres, expandable to 999 litres with the rear seats folded. A frunk (front trunk) is also included.

Feature-Rich and Smart

The Harrier EV is loaded with features, including:

  • Panoramic sunroof

  • Ventilated and powered front seats

  • ‘Boss Mode’ for the second row

  • 10-speaker JBL system with Dolby Atmos 5.1

  • Powered tailgate

  • Vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) charging

  • All-digital IRVM

  • Touch-based HVAC controls

  • 6 terrain modes and 4 drive modes (Eco, City, Sport, Boost)

  • Auto Park Assist

  • Summon Mode (autonomous extraction from tight spots)

  • Drift Mode (relaxed traction for dynamic driving)

The EV is underpinned by Tata’s new TiDAL (Tata Intelligent Digital Architecture Layer) platform, enabling advanced connected car features, OTA updates, voice commands, and DrivePay—a smartphone-free solution for tolls and charging.

Safety and ADAS

Standard safety features include:

  • 6 airbags (7 in higher trims)

  • Blind spot monitoring

  • Built-in dashcam

  • ESC

  • 360-degree camera with kerb proximity alerts

  • Level 2 ADAS fine-tuned for Indian roads

  • Segment-first live camera stitching for off-road navigation

Battery Options and Real-World Performance

The Harrier EV uses an upgraded Acti.ev platform and offers two battery choices:

  • 65kWh (RWD, 238hp)

  • 75kWh (AWD, 313hp, 504Nm torque)

The AWD variant accelerates from 0-100km/h in 6.3 seconds using Boost mode.

Range and Charging

Variant MIDC Range Real-world Range
75kWh RWD 627 km 480–505 km
75kWh AWD 622 km N/A
  • 7.2kW AC: 10–100% in 10.7 hours

  • 120kW DC fast charging: 20–80% in 25 minutes

Off-Road Enhancements

For better off-road capability, Tata has equipped the EV with a new multi-link rear suspension and frequency-sensitive dampers. Additional aids include:

  • Off-road Assist: Low-speed cruise control as slow as 5 km/h

  • Transparent Mode: Displays the terrain below the vehicle on screen

  • 4-level regenerative braking

Warranty and Rivals

Every Harrier EV buyer will benefit from a lifetime battery warranty—a bold move in the Indian EV space.
