Mercedes-Benz’s Exciting Lineup for India in 2024: Over 12 New Cars and SUVs

After achieving record-breaking sales in 2023, Mercedes-Benz India is gearing up for an even more dynamic 2024. The luxury car brand is set to introduce over 12 new models, including three electric vehicles (EVs), with half of these priced above Rs 1.5 crore. Here’s a closer look at eight of these upcoming models.

2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Expected Price: Rs 70 lakh – 90 lakh

The all-new, sixth-generation E-Class, set to launch by late 2024, will be available only in a long-wheelbase version. This luxury sedan, larger than its predecessor, borrows design elements from the S-Class. It features a potential ‘Superscreen’ with a trio of displays and offers a choice between a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 2.0-litre diesel engine, both equipped with a 9-speed automatic transmission.

Mercedes GLC Coupe

Expected Price: Rs 75 lakh – 80 lakh

Launching in early 2024, the new-generation GLC Coupe offers a stylish alternative to the traditional SUV with its raked roofline. Larger than its predecessor, it comes with the latest connectivity and tech features. Engine options include 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and diesel variants, along with a possible AMG version.

Mercedes-Benz CLE

Expected Price: Around Rs 1.1 crore

The two-door CLE, arriving in late 2024, shares its platform with the C-Class and new E-Class. Notable features include integrated speakers in the front seats and increased roominess. Indian models will have 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and diesel engines.

Mercedes-Benz GLA Facelift

Expected Price: Rs 45 lakh – 49 lakh

Scheduled for a launch in the first half of 2024, the GLA facelift includes design updates, an improved MBUX infotainment system, and continued engine options of 1.3-litre turbo-petrol and 2.0-litre diesel.

Mercedes-Benz GLB Facelift

Expected Price: Rs 65 lakh – 70 lakh

The refreshed GLB, also arriving around the same time as the GLA facelift, will feature similar updates in design and technology, retaining the current petrol and diesel engine options.

New Mercedes-AMG GT

Expected Price: About Rs 2.5 crore

The mid-year launch of the new Mercedes-AMG GT promises more space and practicality. This two-door sports coupe, based on the new SL, boasts a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 engine available in two power variants.

Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV

Expected Price: In the Rs 4 crore region

This ultra-luxurious, all-electric SUV, arriving late in the year, features a 108.4kWh battery offering 600km of range and a dual-motor setup delivering 658hp. It’s expected to accelerate from 0 to 100kph in 4.4 seconds.

Mercedes-Benz EQG

Expected Price: Around Rs 3 crore

The all-electric EQG, also slated for a late 2024 launch, is an eco-friendly version of the iconic G Wagon. Featuring a unique ‘G-Turn’ function and four electric motors, one at each wheel, the EQG blends classic design with modern technology.
