Tata To Launch 4 New EVs By Early 2024

In recent years, Tata Motors has successfully developed an impressive lineup of SUVs and electric vehicles, solidifying its position in the automotive market. Notable bestsellers such as the Nexon, Nexon EV, Tiago EV, Punch, Harrier, and Safari have contributed to Tata’s growing reputation. Building on the triumph of the Nexon EV, Tata is poised to replicate its success strategy with upcoming models, including the Punch, Harrier, and Safari.

Tata Motors is also strategically eyeing the rapidly expanding compact SUV segment with its next-generation Curvv SUV. This innovative offering is set to include both traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) variants and electric variants, positioning itself as a formidable competitor against popular models like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Toyota Hyryder.

Updated Nexon EV launch soon

The eagerly awaited update to the Nexon EV is on the horizon, with Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran confirming its imminent launch. The refreshed Nexon and Nexon EV facelifts are projected to coincide with the festive season, with the Nexon facelift drawing inspiration from the Tata Curvv concept. The distinctive design philosophy introduced with the Curvv concept will also grace the upcoming Harrier EV.

The Nexon facelift boasts notable design changes, such as vertically positioned headlamps, LED DRLs mounted on top, and a revamped grille design. Notably, the front bumper houses an embedded camera, while anticipated enhancements include ORVM cameras, a 360° surround view monitor, and a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen. These enhancements will also be incorporated into the updated Nexon EV.

Electric Punch, Harrier, Curvv launch in early 2024

The electrification journey continues as Tata plans to introduce electric variants of the Punch, Harrier, and Curvv in early 2024. The Punch EV faces robust competition, particularly from Hyundai’s Exter EV, which showcases a compelling range of pioneering features. However, Tata’s Punch is making strides, evident from recent additions like a dashcam and sunroof.

Moreover, the eagerly anticipated Curvv, along with its electric iteration, is generating significant excitement. Representing Tata’s bold entry into the compact SUV arena, the Curvv boasts futuristic design elements and an extensive suite of advanced features, including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

Tata and JLR to expand their EV portfolio

Tata’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint is underscored by its ambitious goals. By 2030, an impressive 50% of Tata Motors’ passenger vehicle portfolio will consist of electric vehicles. Meanwhile, sister company Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) aims to achieve 65% electrification within the same timeframe.

Both Tata Motors and JLR are gearing up to launch a series of new electric vehicles in the coming years. Notably, bookings for the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport EVs are slated to open in October, with Jaguar EVs set to hit the market by 2025.

In conclusion, Tata Motors is making significant strides in the automotive industry, capitalizing on its successful SUV and electric vehicle portfolio. With the impending launch of the Nexon EV update and the exciting prospects of the Punch, Harrier, and Curvv EVs, Tata is poised to capture the market’s attention.

Moreover, Tata’s commitment to sustainability and electrification, as exemplified by its formidable goals and future EV offerings, showcases its determination to lead the way in the automotive sector’s eco-friendly evolution.
