Tata Motors Reaches a Milestone of Five Million Cars Made

Tata Motors has said that it has made five million cars for people. Tata Motors started making cars for people in 1991. The Sierra was their first model, and the Estate and Sumo came out in 1994. Since then, the brand has made a lot of different models, such as the Indica, which is one of the most popular passenger cars.

In 2004, Tata Motors made its one-millionth car. Six years later, in 2010, the second million was reached, followed by the third million in 2015, and then the fourth million in 2020. Even with COVID-19, the brand made its last million in just three years.

Shailesh Chandra, managing director of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, said about this historic moment, “Today is a moment to celebrate in the history of Tata Motors as we reach the 5-million production mark. From one million to the next, this journey has been full of both good and bad times. Every time we bring a new product to India, we change it.”

Every new idea was made with the goal of building the country. Customers respect the brand because it has brought them a number of new technologies, and we want to thank them for their huge support, which has helped us reach this important milestone. Our employees, suppliers, channel partners, and the government all helped us get to this point. Tata Motors is still committed to coming up with new ideas and being a key player in making India’s future of transportation safer, smarter, and more environmentally friendly.
