Nissan Magnite Facelift Teased Ahead of October 4 Launch

Nissan has begun teasing the upcoming Magnite facelift, set to launch on October 4. This refresh marks a significant milestone for the company as it plans to introduce left-hand-drive (LHD) versions alongside the existing right-hand-drive (RHD) models for the first time, expanding its global reach.

Key Highlights of the Nissan Magnite Facelift:

  • LHD and RHD Configurations: The Magnite facelift will be available in both left-hand and right-hand drive variants, increasing its export potential.
  • Cosmetic Updates: The mid-life refresh will focus primarily on design enhancements. Spy shots reveal a revised front bumper, a redesigned grille, and updated headlamps featuring new LED daytime running lights. A fresh set of diamond-cut alloy wheels has also been teased.
  • Interior Tweaks: While the cabin hasn’t been officially unveiled, insiders suggest minor changes like new trim options. The overall dashboard design is expected to remain unchanged, with possible additions to the feature list.

No Mechanical Changes Under the Hood

The Magnite facelift will retain its current powertrain options. Buyers will continue to choose between the 1.0-liter, 72hp naturally aspirated engine and the 1.0-liter, 100hp turbocharged version. Gearbox options, including the 5-speed manual, AMT, and CVT, will carry over as well.

Upon its launch, the Nissan Magnite facelift is expected to remain one of the most budget-friendly compact SUVs in India, standing alongside its sibling, the Renault Kiger. In the competitive segment, it will take on rivals such as the Maruti Fronx and Tata Punch at the entry-level, while challenging higher-end models like the Hyundai Venue and Tata Nexon.

This facelift aims to bolster the Magnite’s appeal with minimal yet meaningful upgrades, keeping it fresh in a crowded market.
