New Hero Vida Electric Scooter Set to Launch on July 1

Hero MotoCorp is gearing up to expand its electric two-wheeler lineup with the launch of a new Vida electric scooter in India on July 1, 2025. The upcoming model is expected to slot below the current Vida V2, potentially offering a more accessible entry point into Hero’s EV portfolio.

The new scooter is likely based on the Vida Z, a concept that was showcased at EICMA 2024, suggesting a fresh design language and possibly a simplified feature set compared to the V2 range. While full details remain under wraps, the model is expected to cater to price-conscious buyers looking for an affordable EV option.

This launch follows Hero’s announcement during a recent earnings call where company officials confirmed plans to introduce two cost-effective electric scooters in July. Whether these will be distinct models or different variants of the same scooter is yet to be confirmed.

Currently, the Vida V2 series includes three trims — V2 Pro, V2 Plus, and V2 Lite — each offering different battery capacities, performance figures, and features. These models recently received price cuts, with the V2 Lite now starting at Rs 74,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi), inclusive of subsidies and dealer discounts.

With the upcoming launch, Hero appears focused on narrowing the price gap between electric and traditional petrol-powered scooters, likely aiming to attract a broader segment of urban commuters.

Stay tuned for more details when the scooter officially debuts on July 1.
