This latest addition will sit alongside the CLE 300 Cabriolet in the brand’s CLE lineup, bringing a sharper and more aggressive personality to the range. It’s also poised to become one of the most potent two-door offerings from Mercedes-AMG in the Indian market.
Expected Price and Positioning
Mercedes-Benz is expected to price the AMG CLE 53 Coupe at around ₹2 crore (ex-showroom). With its performance-oriented focus, it will lock horns with the likes of the BMW M2, offering enthusiasts another exciting option in the luxury sport coupe segment.
Muscular, AMG-Tuned Exterior
The CLE 53 Coupe carries a distinct AMG identity, starting with the signature Panamericana grille sporting vertical slats. Its LED headlamps are sleeker and more dynamic compared to the cabriolet, while the front bumper features wider air intakes and a bolder stance.
Along the sides, the Coupe gains flared wheel arches and side vents behind the front fenders—design cues that underscore its high-performance DNA. The standard 19-inch alloy wheels complement its aggressive stance, while larger 20-inch wheels will likely be available as an option.

Under the hood, the CLE 53 Coupe packs a punch with a 3.0-litre twin-turbo inline-six engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system. The setup delivers a peak output of 449hp and 560Nm of torque, with an additional 40Nm boost available temporarily for quicker acceleration.
Mated to a 9-speed AMG Speedshift dual-clutch transmission, the power is sent to all four wheels via the AMG-tuned 4Matic+ all-wheel-drive system.
The coupe is capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds, while top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h. Opting for the AMG Performance Package will raise the speed limiter to 270 km/h.
