Mahindra XUV700 Crosses Two Lakh Production Milestone

The Mahindra XUV700 has achieved a significant milestone, surpassing two lakh units produced in less than three years since its launch in August 2021. To celebrate this achievement, Mahindra has introduced two new color options for the SUV: Deep Forest and Burnt Sienna.

The XUV700 reached the one lakh production mark in 21 months, and it took only 12 months more to produce the next one lakh units, bringing the total to two lakh. The SUV is also available in other single-tone colors, including Dazzling Silver, Electric Blue, Everest White, Midnight Black, Red Rage, and Napoli Black.

Mahindra XUV700: Powertrains and Price

The XUV700 is powered by two engine options: a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 200hp, and a 2.2-litre diesel engine delivering up to 185hp. Both engines come with a 6-speed manual transmission and an optional 6-speed torque converter automatic. Additionally, the diesel variant offers an all-wheel-drive configuration, while the petrol variant is front-wheel drive only.

Priced between Rs 13.99 lakh and Rs 26.99 lakh, the XUV700 competes with models like the Tata Harrier, Tata Safari, MG Hector, MG Hector Plus, Hyundai Alcazar, and even the Jeep Compass. Mahindra is also developing a fully electric version of the XUV700, named the XUV.e8, which is expected to launch by the end of this year.
