Mahindra has expanded its Scorpio N lineup with the introduction of the higher-spec Z8 Select variant, priced between Rs 16.99 lakh and Rs 18.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Scheduled for availability at Mahindra dealerships starting March 1, the Z8 Select fills the gap between the standard Z8 and the Z6 variants. Comparing with the Z8 variants, the Z8 Select is priced approximately Rs 1.11 lakh-1.65 lakh lower, depending on the chosen powertrain. In contrast to the Z6, available only in diesel, the Scorpio N Z8 Select is priced about Rs 69,000-1.38 lakh higher. The Z8 Select is offered with both the 203hp, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and the 175hp, 2.2-litre diesel engine, each paired with their respective 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox options. However, the 4WD option is not available on this trim.
Mahindra Scorpio N Z8 Select: Feature Highlights
Mahindra introduces the striking ‘Midnight Black’ exterior finish exclusively for the Z8 Select variant. While largely identical in features and safety to the Scorpio N Z8 variant, the Z8 Select misses out on certain creature comforts and tech, including push-button start, a tyre pressure monitor, dual-zone climate control, power-folding ORVMs, and automatic headlights and wipers.
Nevertheless, the Scorpio N Z8 Select boasts notable features such as 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, comprehensive LED lighting, an 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 7.0-inch TFT instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a sunroof, rear disc brakes, six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and more.
