Mahindra Bolero Neo+ launched at Rs 11.39 lakh

Mahindra has introduced the new Bolero Neo+ in India, expanding its lineup with a versatile three-row, 9-seater SUV variant. This model builds on the legacy of the TUV300+ and Bolero Neo, featuring notable enhancements and a focus on spacious, functional design.

Pricing and Trims

The Bolero Neo+ is available in two trims, with prices starting from Rs 11.39 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the entry-level P4 variant and going up to Rs 12.49 lakh for the top-spec P10.

Design and Dimensions

Visually resembling the Bolero Neo, the Bolero Neo+ boasts a longer body at 4,400mm, making it 405mm longer than its counterpart. Notable exterior changes include a revised front bumper with distinct fog lamp housing, a bull bar-like design element, and new 16-inch alloy wheels. The rear features a longer overhang with redesigned body panels, larger quarter glass, and wraparound tail-lamps.

Interior and Features

Inside, the Bolero Neo+ inherits its dashboard design from the Bolero Neo, with modern updates like a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a new steering wheel, and a revised instrument cluster. The cabin offers a 3-row layout (2-3-4 seating configuration) with side-facing seats in the last row. Key features include Bluetooth, USB and aux connectivity, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, a 6-speaker sound system, front and rear power windows, manual AC, and front seat armrests. Notably, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are absent. Safety features include dual airbags, ABS, EBD, and ISOFIX mounts.

Powertrain and Specs

The Bolero Neo+ is powered by a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine, delivering 120hp and 280Nm torque, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. It shares a ladder-frame chassis with the Bolero Neo but lacks the mechanical locking differential found in the latter. This SUV caters primarily to tour and travel operators and contractors, offering a competitive edge against rivals like the Force Citiline and the upcoming Gurkha 5-door.

In summary, the Mahindra Bolero Neo+ extends the Bolero lineup with enhanced utility and seating capacity, ideal for commercial and passenger applications in India’s automotive market.
