Keeway RR 300 Launched in India at Rs 1.99 Lakh: A Sporty Comeback

Keeway has reintroduced its fully-faired sportbike in India under a new name — the RR 300, priced attractively at Rs 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This model is essentially the updated and rebranded version of the earlier Keeway K300 R, with a familiar mechanical setup but refreshed positioning in the market.

Engine and Performance

At its heart, the RR 300 retains the same 292cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that powered its predecessor. The motor delivers 27hp at 8,750rpm and 25Nm of torque at 7,000rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox equipped with a slipper clutch. Keeway claims the RR 300 can achieve a top speed of 139kmph, making it a solid performer in the entry-level sportbike segment.

Hardware and Features

Built on a trellis frame, the RR 300 boasts aggressive styling with a full fairing, a compact windscreen, and sporty proportions. Suspension duties are handled by a 110mm USD front fork and a rear monoshock with 46mm of travel. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels, with 110/70 front and 140/60 rear tyres ensuring grip and stability.

Braking is managed by disc brakes at both ends, supported by dual-channel ABS for added safety. The bike also features a digital instrument cluster, a 12-litre fuel tank, and modern switchgear.

Availability and Colours

Deliveries for the Keeway RR 300 are expected to commence by end of July, and it will be sold through Benelli-Keeway dealerships across India. Buyers can choose from three colour options: White, Black, and Red.

With its competitive pricing, stylish design, and proven mechanicals, the Keeway RR 300 aims to offer an accessible entry into the world of faired sportbikes — perfect for enthusiasts looking for performance without breaking the bank.
