All You Need to Know About the Latest Hyundai Verna Launch

Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) will release the new-generation Verna in India on March 21. The company has already teased the car on its official social media accounts several times before its global debut. Recent leaks also showed important details about the dashboard design, upholstery, and other parts of the car’s inside.

We already know that the 2023 Hyundai Verna will have a dual-screen setup with a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster and a touchscreen infotainment system of the same size. Both the digital instrument cluster and the infotainment unit will set new standards in the mid-size sedan segment, which includes cars like the Skoda Slavia, Volkswagen Virtus, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, and the recently updated Honda City.

Hyundai has also confirmed that the new generation of the Verna will have a controller that can be switched between two functions. The rotary dials can be used to change the volume and tune the radio, but with the push of a button, they can be changed to buttons that control the climate control. The car will also have an 8-speaker Bose premium audio system and three different ways to drive: Eco, Normal, and Sport.

The new Hyundai Verna will also have safety technology called Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), which could include Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, and more. The safety kit will probably have 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, VSM, traction control, TPMS, and other safety features.

The 2023 Verna will be powered by the same 1.5-liter NA gasoline engine that makes 115 PS and 144 Nm as before, as well as a new 1.5-liter turbo gasoline engine that makes 160 PS and 253 Nm. Standard will be a 6-speed manual transmission, and the 7-speed DCT will be available as an option.
