Ducati XDiavel V4 Unveiled: A More Laid-Back Take on the Diavel

Ducati has officially introduced the XDiavel V4, a more cruiser-oriented version of the Diavel V4 set to launch in India later this year. This latest iteration brings a blend of performance and relaxed ergonomics, making it a compelling option for those seeking a power cruiser with Ducati’s signature style and engineering.

Ducati XDiavel V4: Key Highlights

✅ 168hp, 126Nm from the 1,158cc V4 engine
✅ More flowing design with distinct alloy wheels
✅ Lower seat height (770mm) for enhanced accessibility
✅ 6kg heavier than the standard Diavel V4

Performance & Mechanical Updates

The XDiavel V4 shares its 1,158cc Granturismo V4 engine with the Diavel V4, producing an identical 168hp and 126Nm of torque. Unlike the previous V-Twin-powered XDiavel 1260, this version features a chain final drive instead of a belt. The aluminium monocoque frame, as well as the braking and suspension setup, remain unchanged from the standard Diavel.

Design & Ergonomics

Where the XDiavel V4 sets itself apart is in its aesthetic appeal and riding posture. It maintains the Diavel’s aggressive stance but adds a more fluid, cruiser-like design with machined alloy wheels and a streamlined silhouette. Ducati has also prioritized pillion comfort, offering a wider, longer, and more cushioned rear seat, along with a tail-mounted grab handle included as standard.

Riding Position & Features

Emphasizing its cruiser DNA, the XDiavel V4 features forward-set footpegs and a swept-back handlebar, ensuring a relaxed riding triangle. For those who prefer a sportier stance, Ducati offers mid-mounted footpegs as an optional accessory. Weighing 229kg (dry), the XDiavel V4 is 6kg heavier than the Diavel V4, while its 770mm seat height makes it 20mm lower, improving accessibility.

Technology & Equipment

Like the Diavel, the XDiavel V4 comes packed with a comprehensive electronics suite, but with one key distinction—it features the 6.9-inch TFT display from Ducati’s Panigale and Streetfighter V4 models. The bike will be available in two colour options—red and black.

Expected Price & Competition

In India, the standard Diavel V4 is priced at ₹26.21 lakh (ex-showroom). The XDiavel V4 is expected to carry a premium over this price. Its closest competitor remains the Triumph Rocket 3 Storm, another high-performance cruiser in this niche segment.

With its blend of power, comfort, and style, the Ducati XDiavel V4 promises to be an exciting addition to India’s premium motorcycle market.
