Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono Details:
After nearly four decades, Ducati returns to the single-cylinder motorcycle configuration with the Hypermotard 698 Mono. This model harkens back to Ducati’s heritage, as they were renowned for their single-cylinder engines from the 1950s to the 1970s.
- Engine and Performance: The Hypermotard 698 Mono is equipped with a 659cc single-cylinder engine, delivering 77.5 hp at 9,750 rpm and 63 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm. In contrast, the Hypermotard 950 RVE features a 937cc L-twin engine producing 114 hp at 9,000 rpm and 96 Nm of torque at 7,250 rpm.
- Design: The Hypermotard 698 Mono sports a design language similar to its predecessor, combining supermoto styling with Ducati’s signature aesthetics. Key features include double exhausts, five-spoke alloy wheels, an LED headlight, a high front mudguard, a sharp tail, and a tall, flat seat, giving it an aggressive appearance akin to the Hypermotard 950 RVE.
- Color and Variants: Currently available in classic Ducati red, the 698 Mono will also have an RVE variant arriving later this year.
With its combination of heritage-inspired engineering and modern design, the Hypermotard 698 Mono is set to appeal to Ducati enthusiasts and new riders alike. Bookings are already open, and Ducati plans to commence deliveries by the end of July 2024.
