Car Sales Report January 2023

Maruti Suzuki sold 1,47,348 cars in January 2023, compared to 1,28,924 during the same month last year. This is a 14.3% increase from the same month last year.
Maruti Suzuki continued to be the best-selling car brand in the first month of the new calendar year. They sold 1,47,348 cars, which is 14.3% more than they sold in the same time last year (1,28,924 cars). New products like the midsize SUV Grand Vitara, the heavily updated Baleno, the new-generation Brezza, Alto K10, and CNG vehicles have helped the company grow steadily.

Hyundai sold 50,106 cars last month, compared to 44,022 cars in January 2022. This is an increase of 13.8% from the previous year. The South Korean automaker released the updated Venue in 2022, and the prices for the updated Grand i10 Nios and Aura were just announced a few days ago.

Tata Motors sold 47,990 units in January 2023, which is 17.7% more than the 40,780 units it sold in January 2022. Mahindra came in fourth place with 33,040 units, up from 19,860 units during the same time period in 2022, a growth of 66.4 percent from the previous year. Even though there is a long waiting list, new models like the second-generation Thar, XUV700, and Scorpio N are doing well.

With a total of 28,634 units, Kia India had its best sales month ever. Compared to the same time in 2022, when there were 19,319 units, this is a growth of 48.2% YoY. Toyota came in sixth with 12,728 units sold, compared to 7,328 units sold during the same time period a year ago. This is a YoY increase of 73.7 percent, while Honda could only come in seventh.

The Japanese company sold 7,821 units in Japan last month, which is 25% less than the 10,427 units they sold the year before. MG came in eighth, behind Skoda, Renault, VW, Nissan, Citroen, and Jeep. This year, there will be a lot of new cars on the market in many different categories.

The Maruti Suzuki Fronx, the Maruti Suzuki Jimny off-roader, the updated Toyota Innova Crysta, the Citroen ec3, etc., will be among the best of them.
