After numerous teasers, spy shots, and leaks, Bajaj has officially launched the highly anticipated Pulsar NS400Z, priced at an introductory rate of Rs 1.85 lakh.
Features and Specifications
The Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z boasts the same liquid-cooled, 373cc, single-cylinder engine found in the Dominar, delivering 40hp at 8,800rpm and 35Nm at 6,500rpm. With a claimed top speed of 154kph, it offers an exhilarating ride.
The bike features a 6-speed gearbox setup with a slip-and-assist clutch, reminiscent of the Dominar 400, but distinguishes itself with an underbelly exhaust muffler akin to the NS200.
Performance and Handling
Equipped with a 43mm USD fork at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear, the NS400Z ensures superior handling. Braking duties are effectively managed by a 320mm front disc paired with a 4-piston Grimeca axial caliper and a 230mm rear disc. Weighing 174kg with a fully filled 12-liter fuel tank, it’s notably lighter than its counterparts, making it more agile on the road.
Design and Aesthetics
The NS400Z features a distinctive design highlighted by its unique headlight—a central LED projector flanked by striking lightning bolt-shaped DRLs. Sharp tank extensions add to its aggressive appearance, making it a standout on the road.
Technology and Rider Aids
Riders can enjoy advanced riding aids including four riding modes (Sport, Road, Rain, Offroad), three levels of traction control, and switchable dual-channel ABS (accessible only in Off-road mode). All these features are easily accessible through a color LCD dash, which also incorporates navigation data and music playback controls. The redesigned switchgear, featuring adjustable brake and clutch levers, enhances overall functionality.
Pricing, Bookings, and Delivery
Available in four colors at an introductory price of Rs 1.85 lakh, the Pulsar NS400Z offers an affordable entry into the realm of 40hp performance. Bookings are currently open with a token amount of Rs 5,000 across all Bajaj showrooms and online. Deliveries are scheduled to commence in the first week of June.
By offering an enticing blend of performance, aesthetics, and technology, the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z sets a new standard in its segment, promising an exhilarating riding experience for enthusiasts.
