Bajaj Auto has recently introduced the 2024 Bajaj Pulsar F250 in India, marking another update to their popular motorcycle lineup. The new model is now available at dealerships with an ex-showroom Delhi price of Rs 1,50,891, reflecting a slight premium of Rs 851 over the previous generation.
Design and Visual Updates
One of the most noticeable changes in the 2024 Pulsar F250 is the addition of fresh graphics. The new black color scheme now features stylish red and grey graphics, enhancing the bike’s overall appeal. Aside from these new graphics, the bike’s design remains largely unchanged.
Enhanced Features
Digital Instrument Console
The 2024 Pulsar F250 now comes equipped with a fully digital instrument console, similar to the one found on the Pulsar N250. This console includes smartphone connectivity, offering features such as Call/SMS alerts and turn-by-turn navigation. Additionally, it provides standard information like speed, time, fuel level, trip meter and odometer readings, distance-to-empty (DTE), and mileage readouts.
Improved Switchgear
The left-hand side switchgear has been updated to include an additional button for easier navigation through the console and its new features.
Underpinnings and Mechanical Changes
Brakes and Tyres
The new model introduces petal discs at both ends, maintaining the same sizes as before with a 300mm disc at the front and a 230mm disc at the rear. Another notable upgrade is the inclusion of wider tyres, now featuring a 110-section front tyre and a 140-section rear tyre, compared to the previous 100-section front and 130-section rear tyres.
Engine and Performance
Mechanically, the 2024 Pulsar F250 remains the same as its predecessor. It continues to be powered by the 249.07cc air/oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine, delivering 24.5PS of power and 21.5Nm of torque.
Verdict
Despite the updates, some enthusiasts might find the changes underwhelming. The addition of an inverted fork, which is present on the Pulsar N250, would have significantly enhanced the bike’s handling and added a premium touch.
Competition
The Pulsar F250 competes with models such as the Hero Karizma XMR and the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250. Other alternatives in the segment include the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V.
While the 2024 Pulsar F250 offers some new features and design tweaks, it remains to be seen how these updates will be received by the market.
