Originally scheduled for local assembly in Ford’s Chennai factory by 2025, there’s buzzing speculation about an earlier introduction. Ford is contemplating directly importing the current Endeavour model, leveraging the allowance for importing up to 2,500 fully-built units annually without homologation. This move could position the Endeavour competitively against its rival, the Toyota Fortuner, especially with the latter’s soaring prices.
