Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL), the two-wheeler subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, has announced the launch of its E20 compliant V-Strom SX, Gixxer 250 series, and Burgman Street EX. With this development, Suzuki’s entire domestic product line-up will now be able to run on petrol with an ethanol blend of up to 20%.
Previously, the company had introduced the E20 compliant Gixxer series, Access 125, Avenis, and Burgman Street, which are currently available through authorized dealerships. Starting from the 3rd week of June 2023, the newly launched V-Strom SX, Gixxer 250 series, and Burgman Street EX will also be sold at all Suzuki Premium dealerships as part of the E20 compliant product line-up that meets the latest emission standards.
Mr. Devashish Handa, Executive Vice President of Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd., expressed his pride in announcing that the entire domestic product portfolio is now E20 compliant. This achievement comes ahead of the timeline set by the Government of India for the two-wheeler industry.
Mr. Handa emphasized that while catering to the diverse demands of their customers, Suzuki is also committed to reducing the carbon footprint and working towards a cleaner and greener future. He sees this as a significant step towards manufacturing models that contribute to sustainability while delivering a superior riding experience.
