Telangana Government Invites Aspiring Entrepreneurs to Encourage Innovation in E-mobility Sector

Hyderabad, January 31, 2023: With the goal of speeding up innovation in connected, autonomous, shared, and electric mobility, the Government of Telangana has asked Indian start-ups to show off their scalable business ideas and innovative solutions at the C.A.S.E. Mobility Grand Start-up Challenge.

The start-ups that are taking part will come up with new ways to solve problems in the Indian E-mobility sector. The final round of the challenge will take place on February 7, 2023, during the Hyderabad E-Mobility Week. The top seven start-ups will pitch their ideas to an eminent jury made up of Government representatives, industry veterans, start-up founders, and academic thought leaders.

TVS Motor Company is a well-known company that makes two-wheelers and three-wheelers all over the world. They are the only industry partner for this prestigious contest, which is being held as part of Hyderabad E-Mobility Week from February 5–11, 2023.

Shri Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, Industries & Commerce (I&C) and Information Technology (IT), Govt. of Telangana, said about the contest, “Innovations in CASE mobility will drive the next revolution in the automobile industry. This grand challenge gives start-ups a unique chance to talk to technology experts, get feedback from thought leaders, and plan the next stage of their growth. I invite all start-ups to come to Hyderabad to show off their newest innovations and business ideas that can be scaled up for the sector.”

The winner of the C.A.S.E. mobility challenge will get up to INR 10 lakhs in grants, and the runners-up will get up to INR 5 lakhs in grants. The winners will also join T-start-up Hub’s incubation programmes and get help from top leaders in their industries. During the event, the winners of T-AI Aim’s Grand Challenge, which took place in October 2022, will also be honoured.

More than 100 and more start-ups from all over the country have said they want to take part in the challenge. All of the start-ups that are taking part will be judged on how original, innovative, and doable they are.

Industry experts like Vikram Garga, Group Head of Marketing at Apollo Tyres, Sanjeev P, Head of EV Micromobility at TVS Motor Company, Sascha Ricanek, Vice President at ZF Race Engineering, Harsha Bavirisetty, Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer at Biliti Electric, Prof. Rajalakshmi P, Director of TiHan at IIT Hyderabad’s Innovation Hub, and Harsha Bavirisetty are on the jury

Start-ups that take part in the C.A.S.E. challenge will also show off their products and technologies at the Hyderabad E-Motor Show, which will take place from February 8th to 10th, 2023. This space is just for start-ups. At the Hyderabad E-Motor Show, the Pininfarina Battista, the Citroen eC3 Car, and electric cars made by Quantum Energy, Urban Sphere, and Gravton Motors will be shown for the first time.
