Ducati Diavel V4 RS Leak Hints at 2026 Launch with Panigale-Derived V4 Power

Ducati appears to be working on a more performance-focused variant of its Diavel power cruiser — the Diavel V4 RS. Leaked documents suggest a 2026 launch, and if the information holds true, this upcoming model could share its engine DNA with the high-performance Panigale and Streetfighter motorcycles.

What to Expect from the Diavel V4 RS

According to a document submitted to the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Ducati is preparing a limited-run version of the Diavel, dubbed the V4 RS. The leak also mentioned updates to the Monster and DesertX, both of which are expected to feature a new 890cc engine.

In keeping with Ducati’s “RS” naming tradition — seen previously on the Monster S4Rs and more recently the Multistrada V4 RS — the Diavel V4 RS is likely to be a numbered, limited-edition model aimed at enthusiasts looking for peak performance and exclusivity.

Engine and Performance

While Ducati hasn’t officially revealed the specifications, there’s a strong possibility the Diavel V4 RS will feature the same Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine found in the Panigale and Streetfighter ranges. This could significantly raise the Diavel’s performance bar. For context, the Multistrada V4 RS produces 180hp and 118Nm — a considerable step up from the regular ADV versions.

If Ducati carries this philosophy over to the Diavel RS, expect a noticeable bump in horsepower compared to the standard Diavel V4, which already tips the scales at 236kg. To offset that weight and enhance agility, Ducati could introduce lightweight components for the RS variant.

Launch Timeline

The Diavel V4 RS is slated to be part of Ducati’s 2026 lineup, with an official unveiling anticipated in the coming months. With its blend of performance, exclusivity, and muscular styling, the Diavel V4 RS could become one of the most desirable power cruisers in Ducati’s portfolio.
