Mahindra has introduced the Scorpio N Carbon Edition, priced from ₹19.19 lakh, exclusively available for the Z8 and Z8L trims. This special edition embraces an all-black theme inside and out, enhancing the SUV’s rugged appeal.
Scorpio N Carbon Edition: Key Highlights
- 7-seater layout as standard
- Stealth Black exterior with blacked-out elements
- Rivals Tata Harrier Dark Edition & Stealth Edition
- Available with both petrol and diesel powertrains
- 4WD option exclusive to the diesel variant
Blacked-Out Exterior Design
The Carbon Edition minimizes chrome accents, replacing them with a sleek black finish. This extends to the door handles, alloy wheels (up to 18 inches), window trims, and roof rails. The Stealth Black paint enhances its aggressive stance, making it stand out from the standard Scorpio N.
Dark-Themed Interior
Inside, the dashboard, seats, roof liner, and door trims all follow the black-on-black philosophy. The luxurious leatherette seats, which are tan in the standard version, adopt the dark theme in this edition. Key features remain unchanged, including an 8-inch touchscreen, dual-zone climate control, a sunroof, 12-speaker audio system, and six airbags.
Engine & Performance
The Carbon Edition retains the existing engine lineup:
- 2.0L turbo-petrol (203 hp)
- 2.2L diesel (175 hp)
- 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox
- 4WD option exclusive to diesel variants
Price & Competition
The Scorpio N Carbon Edition carries a uniform premium of ₹20,000 across all Z8 and Z8L variants, with prices ranging from ₹19.19 lakh to ₹24.89 lakh.
Price Comparison with Tata Harrier Dark & Stealth Editions
Mahindra’s aggressive pricing positions the Carbon Edition as a strong competitor to the Harrier Dark Edition (₹19.14 lakh – ₹26.24 lakh). Additionally, while Tata’s Stealth Edition is limited to the top-spec Fearless+ trim, the Scorpio N Carbon Edition offers a broader range of choices along with a 4WD option.
