Hero MotoCorp is set to create buzz at the upcoming Auto Expo 2025 with the launch of four highly anticipated models. These include the all-new Hero Xoom 160, Vida Z electric scooter, Xtreme 250R, and Xpulse 210—offering a mix of innovation and performance across scooters and motorcycles.
Hero Xoom 160: A Bold Entry into the Maxi-Scooter Segment
The Hero Xoom 160, first showcased at EICMA 2023, promises to make waves in the premium scooter market. This maxi-scooter features 14-inch wheels and a newly developed 156cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that delivers 14hp and 13.7Nm of torque. At 141kg, it combines performance with convenience, offering keyless ignition, a fully digital dashboard, remote seat opening, and split-LED headlights. Designed to challenge rivals like the Yamaha Aerox 155 and Aprilia SXR 160, the Xoom 160 is Hero’s bold foray into an untapped segment. The pricing is expected to be competitive, with the Yamaha Aerox currently retailing between ₹1.49 lakh and ₹1.53 lakh (ex-showroom).
Vida Z Electric Scooter: Affordable and Family-Friendly
The Vida Z, Hero’s latest addition to its electric portfolio, will target budget-conscious families. Positioned as a more accessible alternative to the Vida V2, the Z offers straightforward features like a conventional key-based start and shares its platform with its sibling. Its pricing is expected to undercut the Vida V2, making it one of Hero’s most affordable electric offerings.
Xtreme 250R and Xpulse 210: Expanding Hero’s Motorcycle Lineup
On the motorcycle front, Hero will launch the Xtreme 250R and Xpulse 210. The Xtreme 250R debuts with a new 250cc liquid-cooled engine derived from the Karizma XMR’s 210cc motor, marking a step up in Hero’s performance bike lineup. Expected to be priced near ₹2 lakh, it aims to appeal to enthusiasts seeking a powerful yet practical ride.
The Xpulse 210, meanwhile, is a more capable evolution of the popular Xpulse 200 4V. Featuring the Karizma XMR’s 210cc engine with modifications for better tractability, this adventure bike is expected to carry a premium of ₹20,000-₹40,000 over the Xpulse 200 4V, which will remain on sale.
