Mercedes-Benz India is gearing up for an exciting 2025 with plans to launch eight new models, primarily emphasizing top-tier luxury vehicles and battery electric vehicles (BEVs). The brand kicked off the year by unveiling the G 580 and EQS 450 SUVs, adding to its growing portfolio. Mercedes’ current lineup in India ranges from the A 200, priced at ₹46.5 lakh, to the flagship AMG G 63, which costs ₹3.64 crore.
Last year, Mercedes introduced 14 new models in India, including the locally assembled EQS SUV and the opulent Maybach EQS SUV. For 2025, the automaker has already confirmed several high-profile launches, including the G 580, EQS Maybach 680 Night Series, and a CLA concept, all set to debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo. The exhibition will also showcase the AMG SL 55, AMG S 63 E Performance, and E 450 LWB AMG Line.
Key Models Likely to Launch in India
Mercedes-AMG E 53 PHEV
The next-generation AMG E 53 plug-in hybrid, which made its global debut in 2024, is anticipated to arrive in India soon. It combines a powerful hybrid system with a combined output of 585hp and 750Nm, with the optional AMG Dynamic Plus package boosting power to 612hp. Previously, the AMG E 53 Cabriolet was available in India for ₹1.3 crore, alongside a sedan variant that has since been discontinued.
Mercedes-AMG GT R
Mercedes is expected to reintroduce the AMG GT R in 2025 with a new-generation model. Known for its performance credentials, the previous version featured a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine producing 585hp and 700Nm, achieving 0-100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 318 km/h. The updated GT R may incorporate a hybrid system to meet stricter emission norms.
Mercedes-Maybach GLS Night Series
Adding a touch of exclusivity to its lineup, Mercedes-Maybach is likely to introduce the GLS Night Series in India. Revealed globally in 2023, the Night Series features distinctive black chrome accents and a range of paint options, including a two-tone Obsidian Black and Mojave Silver scheme. Powering this luxury SUV is a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine delivering 579hp and 770Nm of torque.
