Royal Enfield’s much-anticipated Himalayan 750 has been seen undergoing testing in Southern Europe, offering a glimpse of the brand’s forthcoming flagship adventure motorcycle.
A Closer Look at the Himalayan 750
Recent spy images reveal a test bike equipped with additional sensors, suggesting that Royal Enfield is conducting intensive engineering and durability trials. This motorcycle is expected to feature an all-new, more powerful engine, positioning it as the brand’s largest and most advanced model to date. While official specifications remain under wraps, the near-production design and key features have started to take shape.
The Himalayan 750 will be built on a completely new platform, separate from Royal Enfield’s existing 650cc range, which includes the Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650, Super Meteor 650, and Shotgun 650. The new engine is anticipated to deliver higher performance figures than the 648cc twin-cylinder engine, which currently produces 47 hp and 52 Nm of torque. This next-gen engine could also power upcoming models like the revamped Interceptor and Continental GT, both of which have been sighted in testing.
Key Features and Design
The test bike showcases several upgrades that set it apart from the current Himalayan lineup:
- Suspension: Fully adjustable inverted forks at the front and a rear mono-shock promise improved ride dynamics.
- Styling: A fresh semi-fairing design differentiates the larger Himalayan from its smaller sibling, enhancing its adventure-focused aesthetic.
- Technology: An updated rectangular TFT instrument cluster is expected, replacing the circular unit seen on the current model. All-LED lighting, including the headlamp and tail lamp, is likely to be standard.
- Braking: A new braking setup features dual front discs paired with Bybre-branded calipers for improved stopping power.
- Wheels: The bike sports wire-spoked wheels, with a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear configuration. It remains to be seen whether tubeless tires will be offered as standard.
Expected Launch and Pricing
The Himalayan 750 is still some time away from hitting the showrooms. However, Royal Enfield might debut this new engine platform with other models before launching the Himalayan 750, potentially in late 2025. For now, the company’s adventure motorcycle lineup includes the Himalayan 450, priced at ₹2.98 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai).
This upcoming release is expected to redefine Royal Enfield’s adventure touring segment, offering enhanced performance, modern features, and a bold new design.
