With a doubled budget compared to our earlier roundup, we now step into more serious performance territory. This list focuses on the most powerful motorcycles you can buy in India for under ₹10 lakh (ex-showroom), some of which push the power output well past the 80hp mark.
10. Triumph Speed Twin 900
Engine: 900cc parallel-twin | Power: 65hp
Price: ₹8.89–9.19 lakh
The Speed Twin 900 might wear the relaxed looks of a retro roadster, but its real-world performance tells a different story. This Bonneville sibling delivers 80Nm of torque, offering plenty of punch for spirited riding. Other options on the same platform include the Bonneville T100 and Scrambler 900, but these come at a premium, despite similar mechanicals.
9. Kawasaki Z650
Engine: 649cc parallel-twin | Power: 68hp
Price: ₹6.79 lakh
The most budget-friendly bike here, the Z650 packs a reliable and peppy 649cc motor. At just 191kg, it’s among the lightest in the segment, and performance is brisk—0 to 100kph in just over 4 seconds. Prefer retro flair? Go for the Z650RS. Same engine, different style. The platform also underpins the Ninja 650, Versys 650, and Vulcan S.
8. Ducati Scrambler Icon Dark
Engine: 803cc L-twin | Power: 73hp
Price: ₹9.97 lakh
This is the entry point into Ducati’s Indian line-up. The Scrambler Icon Dark may just squeeze under the budget cap, but it delivers a welcoming and enjoyable ride. It’s an approachable bike for a wide range of riders without compromising Ducati’s signature flair.
7. Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R
Engine: 399cc inline-4 | Power: 77hp (80hp with RAM air)
Price: ₹8.49 lakh
Don’t be fooled by the modest engine displacement—the ZX-4R is a screaming inline-four that revs beyond 14,000rpm. It delivers a class-leading performance experience in this price bracket. An upmarket ZX-4RR version brings additional tech like a quickshifter and adjustable suspension for ₹9.10 lakh.
6. Triumph Trident 660
Engine: 660cc inline-triple | Power: 81hp
Price: ₹6.95 lakh
Triumph’s most affordable triple, the Trident 660, offers great performance with a smooth and characterful engine. It sprints to 100kph in just over 4 seconds, and for ₹30,000 more, you can add a quickshifter. If you want a more touring-friendly version, consider the Tiger Sport 660 (₹9.45 lakh), which uses the same engine in a different avatar.
5. Suzuki GSX-8R
Engine: 776cc parallel-twin | Power: 82hp
Price: ₹9.25 lakh
Recently launched, the GSX-8R is Suzuki’s take on the middleweight sportbike. It may miss out on the cylinder count of some rivals, but its 78Nm torque output gives it strong real-world punch. This engine also powers the V-Strom 800DE in a more relaxed state of tune.
4. Honda CB750 Hornet
Engine: 755cc parallel-twin | Power: 92hp
Price: ₹8.60 lakh
Honda’s CB750 Hornet brings solid performance at a competitive price. Producing 92hp and 75Nm, it’s one of the most powerful twins in the class. This engine also powers the new XL750 Transalp. Interestingly, it undercuts Honda’s own CB650R, which gets a more refined inline-4 layout.
3. Honda CB650R
Engine: 649cc inline-4 | Power: 95hp
Price: ₹9.20 lakh
A rare inline-four in this segment, the CB650R blends refinement and sporty dynamics. Sharing its platform with the faired CBR650R, it delivers identical power, though with a slightly better power-to-weight ratio. Both bikes are now only available in their E-Clutch variants.
2. Triumph Daytona 660
Engine: 660cc inline-triple | Power: 95hp
Price: ₹9.72 lakh
Reviving the Daytona name, Triumph has squeezed an impressive 95hp from its Trident-derived engine. While it matches the Honda CB650R in output, the Daytona edges ahead thanks to its sportier character and upgraded internals. It’s a promising middleweight sportbike in every sense.
1. Kawasaki Z900
Engine: 948cc inline-4 | Power: 125hp
Price: ₹9.38 lakh
Sitting at the top is the 2025 Kawasaki Z900—India’s most powerful sub-₹10 lakh motorcycle. Its 948cc engine dishes out 125hp and 97.4Nm. The latest update brings fresh styling, a TFT screen, and modern electronics like ride modes and traction control. Despite its 213kg weight, the Z900 offers exceptional value in the litre-class space.
Honourable Mention: Triumph Street Triple R
Engine: 765cc inline-triple | Power: 120hp
Price: ₹10.17 lakh
While technically over budget, the Street Triple R deserves a mention. With its powerful motor and focused chassis, it delivers serious performance. And depending on your city’s tax structure, the on-road price might actually rival or even undercut the Z900.
