To commemorate 40 years of its operations in India, Yamaha has rolled out a special 10-Year Total Warranty program for all two-wheelers manufactured in the country. This initiative offers extended peace of mind to customers by covering their vehicle for an entire decade—at no extra cost, for a limited time.
What Is the Yamaha Total Warranty?
The Total Warranty includes:
-
2 years of standard warranty
-
8 years of extended coverage
This combined 10-year protection is applicable only to models produced in India, which includes popular scooters like the Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid, Ray ZR, and Aerox 155, as well as motorcycles like the FZ series, R15, and MT-15.
However, Yamaha models imported as CKD (Completely Knocked Down) or CBU (Completely Built-Up) units do not qualify for this warranty.
What Does It Cover?
The warranty covers engine and electrical components, including the fuel injection system. The coverage limit is:
-
Up to 1,00,000 km for scooters
-
Up to 1,25,000 km for motorcycles
Additional Benefits
-
Fully Transferable: If you sell your Yamaha vehicle, the remaining warranty can be transferred to the new owner—enhancing resale value.
-
Limited-Time Offer: This warranty comes standard on new vehicles for now, but Yamaha has not confirmed how long the offer will remain free.
-
Post-Offer Pricing: After the introductory period, buyers can still purchase the extended warranty—₹1,799 for scooters and ₹2,499 for motorcycles.
This move reinforces Yamaha’s confidence in its product quality and provides long-term value and assurance to its customers.
