The 9th of February 2023 in Hyderabad: As part of the E-Motor Show, the Government of Telangana showed off the pure-electric hyper GT “Battista” for the first time in India. This is the fastest car in the world. The unveiling of Battista at the Hyderabad E-Motor Show as part of the E-Mobility Week is an important step as the city gets ready for India’s first Formula E Grand Prix on February 11.
Automobili Pininfarina, the Italian luxury car brand that is owned by Mahindra & Mahindra and makes the Battista, is in charge of designing, developing, and making the car. The Battista combines the best of legendary Italian design with EV performance that has never been seen before. This is a perfect match for the Telangana Government’s goal of moving forward. The car is not only a work of art in terms of design and the most powerful car ever made in Italy, but it is also the fastest-accelerating car in the world, according to official records.
The car was shown to the public for the first time by Mr. Sujai Karampuri, Director of the Government of Telangana’s Electronics, Semiconductors, and Advanced Chemistry cell, in the presence of Mr. Gurpratap Boparai, CEO of Mahindra & Mahindra’s Europe Business, and Mr. Paolo Dellacha, CEO of Automobili Pininfarina.
Mr. Sujai Karampuri spoke at the event. He said, “Telangana has always been about development, innovation, and sustainability at its core. I’m sure that electric vehicles are the future of green transportation, and the government is working hard to get people to buy them so that the future is greener.
“Telangana has a long history with the Mahindra Group, and we are proud of Mahindra for getting such cutting-edge technology in electric mobility,” said Mr. Karampuri.
Mr. Gurpratap Boparai said, “Battista is the top of the line when it comes to technology in electric cars.” The car will make its debut in India at the Hyderabad E Prix circuit, where it will be racing.
Mr. Paolo Dellacha said, “We are very happy to be at the Hyderabad E-Motor show. We’re making plans to work with Mahindra Group more closely in the future, and we can’t wait to share more exciting news.”
From February 8-10, 2023, the Hyderabad E-Motor Show will be held at the Hitex Exhibition Centre. This is where commercial EVs, energy storage companies, charging infrastructure and EV component manufacturers, and startups in these fields will show off their products. The E-Motor Show gives electric vehicle companies from around the world and in their own countries a chance to show the world what they can do well.
