VinFast Limo Green Electric MPV Set for India Launch in February 2026

Vietnam’s fast-growing EV manufacturer VinFast is preparing to introduce its third product in India—the Limo Green electric MPV—with a market debut scheduled for February 2026. After the VF6 and VF7 SUVs, the Limo Green will expand the brand’s footprint into the emerging electric MPV segment, where rivals such as the Kia Carens Clavis EV and BYD eMax 7 are already establishing themselves.

VinFast Asia CEO Pham Sanh Chau confirmed the timeline, stating that the company’s next launch in India will be the 7-seat Limo Green, positioned to appeal to both private buyers and mobility fleets.

Highlights at a Glance

  • 60.13kWh battery, claimed 450km (NEDC) range

  • 201hp, 280Nm front-mounted electric motor

  • Expected to support VinFast’s upcoming GSM electric taxi service

  • Targeted for local production in Tamil Nadu

  • Brand aims to introduce a new model every 6 months in India

Strategic Positioning: Built for Fleets and Families

The Limo Green’s launch will coincide with the rollout of Green and Smart Mobility (GSM), VinFast’s electric-only ride-hailing and fleet service. GSM—owned by Vingroup, the parent company of VinFast—already operates in Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines and Laos, and will make India its fifth market.

Unlike competitors Uber, Ola and Rapido, GSM follows a unique model: it owns and manages its entire EV fleet, including both cars and two-wheelers. This captive demand could give VinFast a significant volume boost in India from day one.

Much like the VF6 and VF7, the Limo Green is expected to be locally produced at the company’s manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu, helping the brand optimise pricing and support fleet scale.

Dimensions and Platform

The Limo Green has already been spotted testing on Indian roads, and its design patent has been filed. The Vietnam-spec model measures:

  • Length: 4,740mm

  • Width: 1,872mm

  • Height: 1,728mm

  • Wheelbase: 2,840mm

This makes it slightly larger than the BYD eMax 7, offering generous cabin space suitable for large families and fleet operations.

Battery, Range and Charging

The MPV comes equipped with a 60.13kWh battery pack delivering a claimed 450km NEDC range. Power is sent to the front wheels via a 201hp/280Nm electric motor.

Charging capabilities include:

  • 11kW AC charging

  • 80kW DC fast-charging (10% to 70% in ~30 minutes)

Design and Interior Features

The Limo Green carries a clean, functional MPV silhouette with VinFast’s signature V-shaped grille and lighting elements. Inside, the cabin focuses on simplicity and practicality.

Interior highlights:

  • 7-seat layout (2+3+2)

  • 10.1-inch touchscreen system

  • Four-speaker audio

  • Single-zone climate control

  • USB charging ports

While comfort features are basic, the MPV prioritises efficiency, durability and ease of use—traits aimed at fleet operators.

Safety Features

Safety equipment includes:

  • 4 airbags

  • ABS

  • Electronic parking brake

Notably, ADAS is not offered, likely keeping costs competitive.

What to Expect at Launch

The Limo Green will play a pivotal role in VinFast’s India strategy, serving both private customers and the company’s own GSM fleet. With the carmaker committing to launch a new model every six months, the brand is clearly gearing up for aggressive expansion.

The electric MPV space is still relatively new in India, and the Limo Green’s combination of practicality, range and fleet-friendly positioning could help VinFast carve out a strong presence in this growing category.
