Tata Curvv EV Series X Launched at ₹16.99 Lakh: New 55kWh Range, More Features, Better Value

Tata Motors has refreshed its electric SUV-coupe lineup with the launch of the Curvv EV Series X, starting at ₹16.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated range simplifies the variant structure, drops the smaller battery pack, and introduces more features along with a stronger value proposition.

Tata Curvv EV Series X: Price and Variants

The new Series X lineup is now exclusively offered with the larger battery pack and comes in three trims:

  • Accomplished X – ₹16.99 lakh
  • Empowered X – ₹19.19 lakh
  • Empowered X Dark Edition – ₹19.49 lakh

Notably, the Accomplished X becomes the new entry point and is ₹50,000 more affordable than the earlier base variant equipped with the smaller battery.

Major Update: 55kWh Battery Now Standard

In a significant move, Tata has discontinued the 45kWh variants entirely, making the 55kWh battery pack standard across the lineup. This simplifies buying decisions while offering a higher range as standard.

The brand is also offering a lifetime battery warranty (up to 15 years from registration), which adds long-term peace of mind for EV buyers.

Performance, Range and Charging

All Series X variants use a single electric motor setup delivering:

  • Power: 167hp
  • Torque: 215Nm
  • Claimed range (MIDC): up to 502km

Charging Details:

  • 7.2kW AC charger: 10–100% in ~7.6 hours
  • DC fast charging: 10–80% in ~40 minutes

This setup places the Curvv EV competitively among long-range electric SUVs in India.

Design and New Colour Option

What This Means for Buyers

The Series X refresh makes the Tata Curvv EV more appealing by:

  • Eliminating the lower-range option
  • Offering better standardisation with the 55kWh battery
  • Adding more features in base trims
  • Improving overall value

With a starting price under ₹17 lakh and a claimed 500+ km range, the Curvv EV now positions itself as a strong contender in India’s growing mid-size electric SUV segment.
