Next-Gen Audi Q3 Teased Ahead of Global Debut on June 16

Audi has officially teased the all-new, third-generation Q3 SUV ahead of its global premiere scheduled for June 16, 2025. With the current-gen model having launched in India back in 2022—but available internationally since 2018—this generational overhaul has been a long time coming.

Striking New Design Highlights

The teaser images showcase a bold new design language for the 2025 Q3. Notable elements include a sleek A-pillar profile, aggressively sculpted front end, and pronounced fender lines. One of the standout features is the brand-new split-headlamp setup, with distinctive pixel-style daytime running lights (DRLs). Unlike the outgoing model, the main headlamps are now positioned lower on the bumper, giving the SUV a more futuristic appearance.

While the exterior design has been partially revealed, Audi has remained tight-lipped about interior updates for the upcoming Q3. However, given the brand’s recent design trends, a tech-forward and premium cabin is expected.

Powertrain Options: Petrol and Plug-In Hybrid Likely

Under the hood, the next-gen Q3 is expected to offer both petrol and plug-in hybrid powertrains. In its current form in India, the Q3 is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine delivering 190hp and 320Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic and Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system.

It remains to be seen whether Audi will carry forward this powertrain in the new model, but international markets—such as the UK—already offer the Q3 with a plug-in hybrid option, which is also likely to make its way into the new generation lineup.

What to Expect

With rivals like the Mercedes-Benz GLA and BMW X1 upping the ante, Audi’s next-gen Q3 is expected to bring not just sharper looks and advanced lighting tech, but also more efficient and versatile powertrain options. All eyes are now on June 16, when the wraps will officially come off this much-anticipated luxury compact SUV.
