Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV Night Series Debuts at ₹2.63 Crore

At the ongoing Auto Expo 2025, Mercedes-Benz has introduced the Maybach EQS SUV Night Series, priced at ₹2.63 crore (ex-showroom). Alongside this luxury electric SUV, the German carmaker has showcased the CLA concept for its India debut and launched the all-electric Mercedes G 580 (electric G-Wagon) at ₹3 crore (ex-showroom). Additionally, Mercedes has displayed its complete AMG line-up, highlighting its performance and luxury credentials.

The Maybach EQS 580 SUV receives a striking Night Series package, featuring a sophisticated blacked-out aesthetic. Key exterior details include a front grille with rose gold accents, headlamp highlights, and a dual-tone paint finish enhanced with dark pinstripes. The design is completed with exclusive Maybach-spec 21-inch blacked-out wheels.

Inside, the SUV maintains the opulent Maybach signature with Nappa leather upholstery and Night Series animations in the digital instrument cluster. Underneath, it is powered by dual electric motors delivering a robust 658hp and 950Nm of torque. Its 122kWh battery offers a WLTP-certified range of 611km per charge, making it a high-performance yet practical electric luxury SUV.

Mercedes G 580 (Electric G-Wagon)

The electric G-Wagon retains the iconic styling of the ICE-powered G-Class while incorporating advanced EV technology. Built on a ladder frame chassis, the G 580 is equipped with a 116kWh battery that provides a WLTP range of 473km. Its quad-motor setup generates 587hp and a staggering 1,165Nm of torque, enabling a sub-5-second 0-100kph time and a top speed of 180kph.

Designed for superior off-road capability, the G 580 boasts features like “G-Turn” for pivoting on challenging terrains and “G-Steering” for enhanced maneuverability. Mercedes claims it surpasses the conventional G-Class in off-road performance.

AMG Line-Up at Auto Expo 2025

The Mercedes pavilion also features several AMG models, showcasing the brand’s performance engineering:

  • SL 55 4Matic+ Roadster: A 476hp convertible priced at ₹2.44 crore.
  • S 63 E Performance: An 802hp plug-in hybrid luxury sedan priced at ₹3.30 crore.
  • E 450 4Matic AMG Line: The sporty version of the long-wheelbase E-Class, offered at ₹92.5 lakh.
