Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV Celebration Edition Launched in India at Rs 1.34 Crore

Mercedes-Benz India has expanded its electric luxury portfolio with the launch of the Celebration Edition of the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV. Prices start at Rs 1.34 crore for the 5-seat version and go up to Rs 1.48 crore for the 7-seat variant (ex-showroom). This special edition primarily introduces a sportier AMG Line design to the entry-level EQS 450, a feature that was earlier exclusive to the flagship EQS 580.

The launch also underlines the EQS SUV’s strong market performance, with Mercedes-Benz confirming it as the best-selling luxury EV in its top-end vehicle segment in India.

AMG Line Styling Now on EQS 450

The biggest highlight of the Celebration Edition is the addition of the AMG Line package on the EQS 450 SUV. This brings sharper visual appeal through redesigned AMG-spec front and rear bumpers along with 21-inch AMG alloy wheels, lending the electric SUV a more athletic stance.

Another key update is rear-seat ventilation, which is now offered as standard on both the EQS 450 and EQS 580 variants—without any increase in price.

Battery, Range and Performance Details

Both versions of the EQS SUV are powered by a 122kWh battery pack, among the largest in the segment.

  • EQS 450 SUV (5-seater)

    • Dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup

    • Output: 360hp and 800Nm

    • MIDC claimed range: up to 820km

  • EQS 580 SUV (7-seater)

    • Dual-motor configuration with higher output

Despite its size and luxury focus, the EQS SUV remains one of the longest-range electric SUVs on sale in India.

Mercedes-Benz EV Performance in India

Mercedes-Benz reported a 12 percent year-on-year growth in EV sales in 2025, with electric models accounting for 20 percent of its top-end vehicle sales. The EQS SUV emerged as the brand’s highest-selling EV in this premium category.

The company’s current electric line-up in India includes the EQA, EQB, EQE SUV, EQS sedan, EQS SUV, and the recently introduced electric G-Class, highlighting Mercedes-Benz’s strong focus on electric mobility.

With the Celebration Edition, the EQS SUV becomes even more appealing by blending AMG-inspired styling with long-range electric performance—making it a compelling choice for buyers seeking a no-compromise luxury EV.
