The updates to the Sonet Aurochs Edition are cosmetic and make it stand out from other trims in the lineup. It gets a beefier-looking front skid plate and tangerine accents on the front bumper, grille, door sills, rear skid plate and centre wheel caps.
The grille also features the Aurochs badging in tangerine. The SUV is available in four colours – Gravity Grey, Aurora Black Pearl, Sparkling Silver and Glacier White Pearl.
The Sonet Aurochs Edition’s features list remains unchanged from the HTX trim level, offering an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, automatic LED headlamps, a single-pane sunroof, drive modes, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, cruise control, and more.
Safety features include four airbags, seat-belt reminders for all seats, three-point seatbelts for all seats, a tyre pressure monitoring system and more.
The Sonet Aurochs Edition is available with the 120hp, 172Nm, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and the 116hp, 250Nm, 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine. Both engines are paired with a 6-speed iMT, while the petrol variant also gets a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, and the diesel variant is mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
The Kia Sonet Aurochs Edition competes with other popular subcompact SUVs in India, such as the Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite.
The Kia Sonet Aurochs Edition is a great addition to the brand’s lineup and offers customers an option to choose a unique and updated design with both petrol and diesel engine options. With its advanced features and impressive powertrain options, the Sonet Aurochs Edition will compete fiercely in the subcompact SUV segment in India.
