Kawasaki has rolled out the 2026 Ninja ZX-6R in India, priced at ₹11.69 lakh (ex-showroom). While the supersport motorcycle remains mechanically unchanged, it does receive a fresh visual update, accompanied by a noticeable price hike of ₹60,000 over the outgoing model.
A Sharper Visual Identity
For 2026, Kawasaki is offering the ZX-6R in a single Lime Green colour scheme. This year’s iteration adds white and blue highlights across the fairing and bodywork, enhancing the sporty appeal of the motorcycle. The updated graphics set it apart from the older version, though many enthusiasts may still wish for the return of the darker grey colourway that gave the ZX-6R a stealthier vibe.
Performance and Engine
Underneath the refreshed bodywork, the ZX-6R continues to be powered by the familiar 636cc, in-line four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. Performance figures stand at 129hp at 13,000rpm (with RAM Air assistance) and 69Nm of torque at 11,000rpm, offering the same thrilling ride experience the supersport is known for.
Features and Equipment
Kawasaki has retained the extensive feature list from the previous model. Key highlights include:
-
Slip and assist clutch
-
Quickshifter
-
TFT display with ride data
-
Selectable power modes
On the safety front, the ZX-6R continues with dual-channel ABS, Kawasaki Intelligent anti-lock Brake System (KIBS), and three levels of traction control, ensuring a balance between performance and rider confidence.
Price and Positioning
At ₹11.69 lakh, the 2026 Ninja ZX-6R is priced significantly higher than the previous version’s ₹11.09 lakh tag. While the increase is essentially for new graphics, the ZX-6R still holds strong appeal as it remains the only in-line four-cylinder supersport available in its segment in India.
