Jeep Wrangler Facelift Launch on April 22

The Jeep Wrangler facelift is set to make its debut in India on April 22, 2024. Having been introduced globally about a year ago, the updated Wrangler comes with refreshed styling and new features.

Exterior Changes

The facelifted Wrangler showcases a redesigned all-black grille, featuring a slimmer interpretation of its iconic seven-slat design. Globally, this model offers a variety of alloy wheel designs ranging from 17 to 20 inches, with tyre sizes reaching up to 35 inches. The vehicle also provides several roof options, including a standard soft top, body-colored hard top, black hard top, a blend of hard and soft top, a Sunrider top for front passengers, and a dual-door group with half doors.

Interior and Features

A prominent 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system takes center stage inside, now standard across all variants. Running on Jeep’s Uconnect 5 system, this infotainment setup brings advanced connected features to the SUV, including the Trails Offroad guide featuring 62 well-known off-road trails.

The AC vents are now positioned beneath the infotainment screen, while the cabin layout remains largely unchanged. Noteworthy features include 12-way power-adjustable front seats, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a new semi-digital instrument cluster.

Powertrain

For the Indian market, the Wrangler facelift is expected to retain its existing 270hp, 400Nm, 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine paired with an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission and Jeep’s Selec-Trac full-time 4WD system.

Price and Rivals

Currently available in two variants—Unlimited and Rubicon—the Jeep Wrangler is priced at Rs 62.65 lakh and Rs 66.65 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. While it doesn’t have a direct competitor, it does compete with the Land Rover Defender in the market.
