Honda continues to make waves in the big bike segment, and its momentum shows no signs of slowing down. According to insider sources, the much-anticipated CB750 Hornet — a naked streetfighter — is set to debut in the Indian market soon, likely priced around ₹9 lakh (ex-showroom).

Mechanically, the Hornet CB750 shares its engine with the XL750 Transalp adventure tourer — a 755cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled unit tuned for punchy performance. While it has some competition, the Hornet effectively carves a niche for itself in the underrepresented middleweight naked segment in India.
Positioning and Expected Pricing
The Hornet 750 is expected to be imported as a CBU (Completely Built Unit), with a projected ex-showroom price ranging between ₹8.80 lakh and ₹9.20 lakh. This places it in the same ballpark as the Honda CB650R, its closest sibling in terms of price and performance, though the CB650R uses an inline-four engine.
Well-Rounded Feature List
In addition to the five riding modes and traction control, the CB750 Hornet also comes equipped with a slipper clutch and a tech-rich instrument cluster. Honda will also offer a bi-directional quickshifter as an optional accessory, further enhancing its appeal for performance-focused riders.
Competition and Market Relevance
While the Hornet 750 could be considered a rival to the Aprilia Tuono 660, the Italian bike’s steep pricing — ₹17.44 lakh (ex-showroom) — puts it in a very different league. With a clear gap in the 600-900cc twin-cylinder naked bike space in India, the CB750 Hornet is arriving at just the right time to fill that void.
