BMW has officially announced the launch of the CE 04 electric scooter in India, scheduled for July 24. This innovative scooter boasts an 8.9 kWh battery, providing a range of up to 130 kilometers on a single charge.
The CE 04’s motor delivers a peak output of 31 kW, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 50 km/h in just 2.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 120 km/h. Charging times are efficient, with a standard charger taking 4 hours and 20 minutes, while an optional fast charger reduces this to just 1 hour and 40 minutes.
The scooter is equipped with a telescopic front fork and a side-mounted rear monoshock, riding on 15-inch wheels fitted with 120mm front and 160mm rear tires. It has a standard seat height of 780mm, which can be increased to 800mm with an optional comfort seat. The CE 04 weighs 179 kg with standard equipment.
In terms of features, the BMW CE 04 offers three riding modes, traction control, ABS, and a TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity for navigation, among other advanced functionalities. Its futuristic design includes unique bodywork and distinctive design elements.
While BMW has yet to disclose the official price, it is expected to be positioned significantly higher than the C 400 GT, which was launched at Rs 11.20 lakh (ex-showroom India). The CE 04 is anticipated to be priced at nearly twice that amount, reflecting its advanced technology and premium features.
